Before you can accept and process credit cards over the Internet, you must first
set up an Internet Merchant Account, which is designed specifically to handle
Internet transactions. To qualify for an Internet Merchant Account, you must
first have a checking account with a bank.
Shopping Cart Programs
A shopping cart program lets you create an online catalog of products and
organize them for easy navigation. Shoppers select products by adding them to
their cart. These products are tracked and displayed to the shopper before he
commits to purchasing them. The shopper purchases the items by entering
information into an order form when they are ready to complete the purchase.
